Analytics and reporting service
BioGrid staff have skills and experience in data analytics and reporting to perform the analysis or visualisation of project data on behalf of researchers. BioGrid has the expertise to map, integrate and combine data as well as provide detailed analysis and tailored reporting as required by BioGrid member researchers.
Analysis
A BioGrid Data Analyst can perform analyses of project data on your behalf. The tool the BioGrid Data Analyst uses for querying and analysing is SAS Enterprise Guide.
The analyses may include:
- Data transformations, calculation and standardisation
- Descriptive statistics
- Statistical analyses including survival, regression, ANOVA, multivariate analysis
Visualisation
A BioGrid Data Analyst can assist you to present your project data and results with data visualisation techniques and guided analysis through the use of SAS Visual Analytics.
These reports can be used for:
- Audit purposes (i.e. surgical)
- Management reporting
- Identification of outliers in data
We encourage you to spend some time with the BioGrid Data Analyst to explain your project analysis and visualisations that you may require, to ensure a good understanding of your requirements and project.
These services will incur a cost-recovery fee for member researchers. Please contact BioGrid to discuss your project and how BioGrid can assist.
BioGrid’s real-time hospital/clinic based data (i.e. Real-World Data or RWD) can be analysed against other measures of relevance to generate Real-World Evidence (RWE) providing data insights that can be used to evaluate treatment effectiveness and guide clinical decision making.
Analytics and reporting tools for BioGrid members
BioGrid members have access to sophisticated SAS data interrogation, analysis, visualisation and reporting tools to use on either their own data or if authorised, data connected through BioGrid.
The web-based tools available to members include:
Approved users can access these tools using any internet-connected computer. The tools are available for use for ethically approved projects by researchers based at BioGrid member and collaborator organisations. Access to these tools is included in membership of the BioGrid Collaboration.
SAS Enterprise guide can provide:
- Linking multiple relational databases through BioGrid
- Data transformations, calculation and standardisation
- Descriptive statistics
- Statistical analyses including survival, regression, ANOVA, multivariate analysis
SAS Visual Analytics can provide:
- Self-service discovery and analytics
- Interactive reporting and dashboards
- Available on mobile or tablet devices
- Location analytics
- Self-service data preparation
- Administration and management
Alternatively, if you wish to learn to use the SAS tools for use on your project, BioGrid offers SAS user training, contact us to discuss further.
