Researchers
BioGrid was created to help medical researchers. Using data sourced via BioGrid, our members and collaborators have been able to improve diagnosis; refine treatments with new drugs and improve the overall quality and safety of their health services.
It will be hard to imagine that we ever did without it.
BioGrid enables easier access to data for investigators by:
- Streamlining the data governance process through removing the need for investigators to liaise with institution legal and ethics offices as the BioGrid collaboration agreement can be used to share data for multi-site projects.
- Utilising the BioGrid Access Request System to obtain ethical approval for specific projects as managed by Melbourne Health HREC low risk committee due to ethics approval already in place for linkage of data to BioGrid.
BioGrid can provide data collection tools, database linkage, data analysis and reporting to assist you with your research project.
To ensure that you can utilise the services of BioGrid, we encourage you to include funding for BioGrid in your research grant application. We can provide you with a quotation and description of BioGrid services and benefits to include in your application.
